You have certainly realized that I am a Scorpio.
A triple Scorpio, in fact... and today is my birthday.

There is a different birth I'd rather talk about today, though.

When I first told this story,
I faded to black before revealing precisely what transpired between Scarlet and I on that first fateful night.

In truth, she didn't deserve this.
I'd meant to let her leave.
She charmed me that night.
The kindest thing was to walk away.
I knew she was too precious for this life...
... for feeding.
... for becoming.
It would taint her.

And yet...
